I am an Assistant Professor of Practice at Purdue University.

I am an applied mathematician interested in mathematical modeling in physics and biology. In particular, I am interested in fluid mechanics when the Reynolds number is approximately one. Currently I am studying particle migration in inertial microfluidic devices. I am also interested in laminar flow around hairs.

Before Purdue, I was an NSF Mathematical Sciences Postdoctoral Fellow at MIT, working with Peko Hosoi in Mechanical Engineering. I was an NSF Graduate Research Fellow and received my Ph.D. in 2016 in Applied Mathematics at UCLA, working with Marcus Roper. I received my B.S. in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Maryland in 2010.
